Last Time Out: Vassar got a late goal from senior Lucy Brainerd (Littleton, CO/Heritage) as the Brewers managed a 1-1 tie vs. Clarkson University on October 3. The Brewers finished 1-0-1 in their first Liberty League weekend with a win over No. 21 St. Lawrence the day prior.

A Look at the Cardinals: Wesleyan enters Tuesday's matchup 4-3-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in the highly competitive New England Small College Athletic Conference. The Cardinals are coming off a 0-1 loss to Hamilton College on October 3, and are also playing their final non-conference game of the regular season on Tuesday. Wesleyan also played St. Lawrence University earlier this season, falling to the Saints at home 1-2.

Freshman Liz Young has made an immediate impact on the team in her first collegiate season, leading the Cardinals in goals with four on the year. Junior Victoria Matthews has also been a solid contributor coming into tomorrow's matchup with three strikes on the season. Sophomore Meghan Hanan has gotten most of the work in goal for Wesleyan, holding  a 1.13 goals against average and .810 save percentage.

Against Wesleyan All-Time: Vassar is 4-3 all-time against the Cardinals, and has won the past two meetings between the schools. The Brewers picked up a 2-1 win over Wesleyan last season when the teams met on September 10 with goals from Chloe Wheeler and Amanda McFarland (Redwood City, CA/Melno).

Non-Conference Finale: Vassar will finish up non-conference play tomorrow against Wesleyan, carrying a 5-3 mark against non-league opponents into the game.

Remember September: Vassar finished 5-3 in the month of September this year. Over the past five seasons (including 2015) the Brewers are 25-16-2 in games played in September.

Six Games, Six Game-Winners: Senior Kamaria Coley (Washington, DC/Academy of the Holy Cross) became the sixth player to score a game-winning goal for Vassar when the Brewers beat No. 21 St. Lawrence on October 2. Rebecca Andrews (Los Altos, CA/Los Altos), Emily Krebs (Newport Beach, CA/Corona Del Mar), Amanda McFarland, Lucy Brainerd and Audrey Pillsbury (Laguna Beach, CA/Laguna Beach) have also all scored game-winners for VC.

Top Conference?: The Liberty League is shaping up to be one of the toughest conferences for women's soccer nationwide as the first month of the 2015 season draws to a close. The League currently has three teams ranked inside the top-25 nationally in William Smith (No. 6), RIT (No. 18) and St. Lawrence (No. 21). Currently, all nine conference teams have at least a .500 record or better.

League Play Underway: The Liberty League is well underway, with all nine teams playing at least three conference games thus far. No. 6 William Smith sits atop the conference at 3-0, followed by No. 18 RIT (2-0-1). The Brewers are currently fourth (1-0-1). Check out the full league standings here.

League Openers: Vassar has had trouble getting off on the right foot in league play over the years, holding a 1-7-2 mark in Liberty League openers since 2005. The Brewers won their opening conference game for the first time since 2010 when the squad knocked off No. 21 St. Lawrence on October 2.

History Repeats: Vassar has now beaten Manhattanville by a margin of 6-0 in two consecutive meetings. The Brewers earned a 6-0 victory almost a year ago to the date on September 20, 2014 with six goals from five different scorers.

Overtime Warriors: Vassar has already played four overtime contests in 2015, one more than the team's total extra time games from last season. After finishing in with three ties in OT last season, Vassar is 2-1-1 in overtime contests in 2015. VC topped NYU on a golden goal on September 5, before suffering a sudden death loss to Stevens on September 12. The Brewers came out on the right side of overtime the following day with a win over Whitman. The Brewers played to their first tie on October 3 against Clarkson.

Defending Gordon: Vassar's loss to Montclair State last weekend marked the first defeat for the Brewers at Gordon Field since October 4 2013. VC is now 11-1-3 at home since that loss to William Smith two seasons ago.

Next Up: Vassar will be away for its third conference road game in nine days when the Brewers travel to face Skidmore College (4-5, 2-2 LL) on October 10.
