A Look At The Brewers
The Brewers (1-1) fought a back-and-forth second half against #17 nationally-ranked Montclair State University on Wednesday evening. Senior
Max Herman (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Regional) recorded his second hat-trick of the season. Junior

Liam Moriarty (New Fairfield, CT/New Fairfield) all added goals in the second half. The Brewers and the Red Hawks both scored six goals in the third and fourth quarters.
Senior
Andrew Nicol (Carmel, NY/Brewster) has stopped 23 of the 44 shots on goal that he has faced this season. In total, the Brewers' opponents have fired 62 shots at the goalie. Herman and Moriarty both have seven points this season. Herman has two hat-tricks and an assist while Moriarty is sporting four goals (one hat-trick) and leads the team with three assists.
Moriarty is tied for the team lead in ground balls with six.

A Look At The Garnet
Swarthmore recently fell to Widener University 8-3 on March 1 after a back-and-forth first half. The Garnet only managed to swing 17 shots and to grab 22 ground balls while Widener ripped 32 pointers and recovered 34 loose balls. Brendan Conway led the Garnet with two goals off of four shots. Jonathan Molloy had seven shots with only one of them finding twine. Mike Selverian won half of his face-offs and gathered five ground balls.
Ian Lukaszewicz leads Swarthmore in points this season with his three assists and one goal and is second with five ground balls. Molloy adds an assist to his two-goal outing. Geli Carabases has seven loose ball recoveries this season. Jonathan Cohen has stopped 23 of the 43 shots on goal. He has faced a total of 59 shots.

The Brewers have only met the Garnet once. On March 11, 2000, Swarthmore got a neutral 13-1 win.

The Brewers are tied with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the second most goals scored this season. Both squads have 21. RPI has allowed 24 goals in three games compared to Vassar's 21 in two games. The Brewers are averaging 10.5 netters a game which is good enough for third in the Liberty League.
