What to Look For
The Brewers (17-6, 9-5 Liberty League) earned a historical win against visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Tuesday evening, 107-89. Vassar beat RPI earlier by a score of 100-83 in the first ever contest where the Brewers defeated a Liberty League team by a score of 100 points or more. Tuesday's win upped their record for most points scored against a League school. Johnny Mrlik (San Francisco, CA/St. Ignatius College Preparatory) led four other Brewers in double-digit scoring with 30 points. Forwards Alex Snyder (Rutland, VT/Rutland) and Luka Ladan (Belmont, MA/Belmont) both reached the 16-point mile-marker on Tuesday.

Mrlik holds the top scoring status on the team with 18.5 a night. Ladan, sophomore Erikson Wasyl (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) and Snyder add averages of 12.5, 12.3 and 10.8 points per game. Snyder, Mrlik, Ladan and senior Evan Carberry (Metuchen, NJ/Metuchen) pull down a combined 26.3 rebounds a night.

Vassar is averaging 72.8points a night while allowing 67.2 a show. The Brewers' shooters still hold strong with a 48.0 percent field goal and a 39.1 percent three-point averages. Vassar is hitting 71.2percent from the free throw line. The Brewers grab 38.7 boards a game and dish out 13.3 assists.

A Look at the Saints
St. Lawrence was tossed by Clarkson 73-48 on Tuesday evening. The Knights hit 53 percent from the floor and 41 percent from three-point land. Janpeter Brase scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds while Kyle Edwards, Kyle Kobis and Brady Condlin each added nine points to the effort.

Condlin is averaging 15.9 points a night while Kobis and Edwards follow with 11.7 and 11.4, respectively. Brase and Kieran Miller pull down 6.7 and 6.0 rebounds a game, respectively.

The Saints average 70.1 points a show and allow 70.7 from opponents. Their free throw shooters only score from the line 68.9 percent of the time. St. Lawrence is making 44.2 percent of shots from the field and 34.9 percent from the three-point arc. The Saints pull in 36.5 boards a night and give away 32.7.

Against St. Lawrence All-Time
The Brewers continued their series winning streak with win #4 in January at the Athletics and Fitness Center, 73-65. Despite the hot run, the Saints still remain on top with a record of 19-9 since 2001.

A Look at the Golden Knights
Clarkson earned their first season sweep over the Saints since 1993-94 with their 73-48 win on Tuesday. John Coleman recorded 27 points and Charles McAllister added a career-high nine assists as well as four steals on the evening. Marques Charlton and Felix Abongo posted 14 points each.

Coleman averages 19.2 points a night and seven boards as well. Charlton follows the scoring with 17.2 a show while Abongo posts 13.9 tallies and seven caroms a contest. Charlton leads in the helping category with 3.6 a game.

The Golden Knights average 72.9 and give away 67.8 points an event. They shoot 45.4 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from the three-point arc and 71.7 percent from the charity line. Clarkson's presence under the boards brings in 32.7 rebounds a game but it also lets 35.2 slip away.

Against Clarkson All-Time
The Brewers bested the Golden Knights at the end of January 69-51 at the Athletics and Fitness Center. Clarkson has the slight advantage in the series with a 16-11 record since 2001.

Defense Leads The Way
The Brewers' defense is ranked seventh in the country as of February 16, allowing 37.8 percent of opponents' field goals to reach net. Vassar also is 17th in the nation in terms of defensive rebounds per game.

Netters
The Brewers lead the way in the Liberty League with a field goal percentage of 48.0. The next closest team is the top squad in the League, Hobart College with 46.4 percent. The Brewers also take the top spot honors in three-point shooting with a completion rate of 39.1percent. Hobart follows with 35.6 percent.

More Records In Store
The Brewers are tied for the school record in Liberty League wins in a single season. Friday's game would break the record while Saturday's would make Vassar history as the most single season overall wins.

Up Next
The Brewers' next await for the other pieces in the Liberty League to fall in place, seeing if Vassar will host or travel for the first round of the League playoffs on Wednesday at 8:00 pm.
