POTSDAM, NY (April 27, 2013) – The Vassar College men's lacrosse team could not overcome a slow start in a 16-7 loss at Liberty League rival Clarkson in the final game of the 2013 season for the Brewers. Sophomore midfielder

Noah Parson each finished with two goals and an assist; Parson finished 2013 as Vassar's all-time single-season scoring leader with 44 points.
Clarkson came out firing from the opening whistle, scoring five unanswered goals in the first quarter and leading by as much as 7-0 before Parson finally got Vassar on the scoreboard four minutes into the second quarter. The Brewers would not score again before halftime but did throw in four goals in the fourth quarter, including two in the final minute and freshman Jeffrey Berg's first career goal.
Vassar concludes the season with a record of 3-11 overall and 0-6 in the Liberty League. Clarkson improved to 9-5 (4-2 Liberty League); the Golden Knights will visit second-seeded and 16th-ranked archrival St. Lawrence in the Liberty League semifinals on Wednesday.
Freshman midfielders Tyler Morrow and
Nick Page also made marks on the stat sheet as the former scored his fourth goal of the year with five seconds left and the latter recorded his first career assist. Parson finished his freshman campaign with 31 goals and 13 assists to set the Vassar men's lacrosse single-season scoring record at 44 points. Junior goalie
