Vassar Notes (17-4, 9-3): On Tuesday, the Brewers earned a big Liberty League victory over RPI, 61-57. It was Vassar's fourth straight League victory. Freshman

Inside the numbers: On Monday, sophomore forward
Colleen O'Connell was named to the Liberty League Honor Roll for her performance last week. O'Connell averaged 16.7 ppg and 9.0 rpg. She shot 18 of 35 from the field (51 percent) and 12 of 14 from the free throw line (86 percent). Against St. Lawrence, she had 24 points and 11 rebounds on 7 of 11 shooting and made 9 of 10 free throws. O'Connell is 12th in the league in scoring (10.3 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (7.9 rpg).
Junior guard
Cydni Matsuoka is third in the Liberty League in scoring (17.3 ppg), first in field goal percentage (.549), assists (5.8 apg), free throw percentage (.894), 3-point percentage (.485) and second in 3-pointers made per game (2.4).
In the January 31 NCAA Statistics, Matsuoka ranks 12th in the nation in assists, 14th in field goal percentage, third in 3-point shooting percentage and fifth in assist to turnover ratio.

William Smith Notes (13-7, 7-4): The William Smith College basketball split its two Liberty League games last weekend. The Herons lost to RPI 74-61 on Friday, but rebounded with a 66-62 win over Skidmore College. Senior Sydni Salvatore and sophomore Chloe Hayter both enjoyed 20-point games for the Herons. Salvatore was 7-of-14 from the floor with three 3-pointers and went 8-of-10 from the free throw line to finish with a game-high 25 points. Hayter was 9-of-18 from the floor and 3-of-6 at the line for 21 points. She also pulled down nine rebounds. Junior Jacqueline Murphy corralled a game-high 12 boards.
William Smith averages 61.6 ppg, opponents average 61.2 ppg. Hayer is sixth in the Liberty League in scoring (14.5 ppg).
The Herons average 61.6 points a game and shoot 36 percent from the floor. Opponents average 61.1 points a game and shoot 38 percent from the floor.

RIT Notes: The Tigers (8-12, 4-7) headed into Friday night's game against Bard having won three straight games. On Tuesday, RIT defeated Penn State-Behrend. Prior to that victory, the Tigers swept both Skidmore (64-62) and RPI (84-78) in Liberty League play.
Leslie Havens leads the Tigers in scoring (12.0 ppg). Courtney Tennant averages 10.5 ppg and a team-best 6.3 rpg.
RIT averages 58.3 points a game and shoots 37 percent from the field. Opponents average 62 points a game and shoot 38 percent.
