What to Look For
The Brewers (5-1, 0-0 Liberty League) are currently engaged in their best win streak since the 2007-08 milestone of 10 wins. Vassar currently is on a five-game winning run after a huge 84-68 performance against NESCAC opponent Connecticut College. The Brewer shooters put together a 17-of-25 shooting show in the second half back on December 10 and hit 6-of-11 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Vassar is averaging 73.5 points per game while giving up only 64.7 a contest. The Brewers have also been besting their opponents under the board with an average of 41.3 boards a game compared to 32.3. Sophomore Johnny Mrlik (San Francisco, CA/St. Ignatius College Preparatory) leads two other Brewers in double-digit scoring with 17.0 tallies a show. Sophomore Erikson Wasyl (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) and junior Luka Ladan (Belmont, MA/Belmont) follow with 14.2 and 12.2 points respectively.

Juniors Alex Snyder (Rutland, VT/Rutland) and Curtis Smith (Mastic, NY/ Eastport South Manor) are close to the double-digit average with 9.3 and 8.0 points per game. Snyder leads the Brewers with 8.8 boards per outing with Mrlik following close behind with 7.0.

A Look at the Wentworth Leopards
The Leopards earned a solid 72-59 win over Curry College in Commonwealth Coast Conference play on December 7. Wentworth had the upper hand over the Colonels with a 50-27 rebounding advantage led by Derek Mayo with 11 boards. Mayo was also the game leader in assists with four while Jherson Colon led the Leopards with 16 points. The Leopards finished the evening with a 41.7% (25-60) field goal showing.

Against Wentworth All-Time
The Brewers hold a 2-0 edge over he Leopards. Both contests were close back in 1995 and 1994. In 95, the Brewers pulled out a home 59-58 win while taking a 69-65 victory in 94 at Wentworth.

A Look at the Fort Kent Bengals
The Bengals are in a 0-3 slide with two of those losses being chalked up as conference losses in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Most recently, Fort Kent dropped a 74-67 decision to Berkley College – NJ during the Rohrer College of Business Classic on December 14. The loss came in the consolation game of the tournament after a 91-66 loss to non-conference opponent, Rowan University the day before.

Fred Sanchez recorded 25 points, leading the Bengals. He was supplemented by Mauro Vicic's 11 tallies and 10 boards.

Against Fort Kent All-Time
This would be the first time these two teams have met on the court.

A Look at the Trinity Bantams
The Bantams defeated Norwich University 57-43, winning the Ed Hockenbury Classic on December 8 at Norwich. Trinity's defense held the host Cadets to only seven points in the first half. Hart Gliedman was named the Most Outstanding Player for the tournament, having led the game with four assists and adding three points and three rebounds. Jaquann Starks led the game with 14 points while George Papadeas pulled down 12 rebounds and tacked on 10 points.

Against Trinity All-Time
The Brewers have never defeated the Bantams in the two teams' five meetings. The last time the two met was on January 31, 1993. Trinity walked away with a 96-54 road win.

Defense! Defense!
The Brewers have allowed the least amount of points per game out of the entire Liberty League. In their six games, they have only allowed 64.7 with Clarkson University close behind, allowing a 68.0 point average in its seven outings. The Brewers also lead the league only allowing 36.6% from the floor while also blocking 4.5 shots a game for a league, second-best.

Arcin' From Beyond The Arc
Vassar's shooters are ranked second in the Liberty League. They have combined for 41-of-116 from three-point land (35.3%). Clarkson holds the No. 1 spot with an average of 40.3% having hit 50-of-124.

Welcome To The Board
Vassar and Skidmore College are tied for most defensive boards per contest with 29.8. The Brewers still technically own the No. 1 spot because of having pulled down 30 more rebounds than the Thoroughbreds.

Enough Experience to Go Around
All but one returning player had seven or more starts last year. Every player also saw action in 10 or more games. No player started all 25 games.
