Kelsey Domb in the box. Domb kicked the ball out to freshman midfielder
Lucy Brainerd, who skillfully struck the ball into the upper right corner from the edge of the box.
The Brewers kept up the momentum after the break, and the pressure paid off when they got their second goal just two minutes into the second half. Sophomore forward
Chloe Wheeler drove past several defenders and drilled a low shot off the outstretched arms of Colonials goalkeeper Caitlin Avery to cut the deficit to a single goal.
Vassar narrowly missed tying the game in the 65th minute, when a free kick from Bourenane from 25 yards out was tipped just over the bar by Avery. But despite their best efforts the Brewers couldn't find a breakthrough. A Colonials goal in the 77th minute from forward Camille Lawson ended the game at 4-2.
