Vassar Women's Notes: The Brewers (3-0) had a big 63-59 win over Wesleyan University.   This was their first victory over Wesleyan and first victory over a NESCAC team since 2000. Junior forward Hannah Senftleber had an outstanding 22-point performance. She was 7 of 8 from the field and 8 for 8 from the free throw line. She added six rebounds, three assists and a block.
Following her 22 point game against Wesleyan, Senftleber was named to the Liberty League Honor Roll on Monday.

Sophomore forward Colleen O'Connell had 12 points against Nazareth College and 7 rebounds.

Hunter College Notes: The Hawks (1-3) got their first victory of the season (57-41) over conference opponent Lehman College. The Hawks are coming off a 66-44 loss to Baurch College on Tuesday night. Hunter started slowly, down 45-18 at halftime and although the Hawks outscored Baruch 26-21 in the second half, the deficit was too large to overcome. Frances Henry led Hunter in scoring with 12 points. Sheridan Taylor had a team-high nine rebounds.

Next Up: Hunter will host Mt. Saint Mary on December 4 at 5:30 p.m.

Coaches: Vassar is coached by Candice Brown, who is in her 4th season. Brown has led the Brewers to back-to-back Liberty League Championships and appearances in the NCAA Division III Championships. She was the 2010-11 Liberty League Coach of the Year.

Hunter is coached by Vana Loukissas, a 2003 Hunter graduate who is in her fifth season.
