POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 15, 2011) – The Vassar College men's basketball team showed the talent to compete with the defending Liberty League Champion St. Lawrence University but a costly run at the end of the first half allowed St. Lawrence to prevail 71-56 Saturday evening at the Athletics and Fitness Center.

Although Vassar overcame a 7-0 deficit to take control with a 23-16 lead late in the first half, St. Lawrence heated up to finish the half on a 17-0 run for a 33-23 lead at halftime. The Brewers trailed the entirety of the second half by double digits.
