ORLANDO, FL (March 13, 2009) -- The Vassar men's tennis team lost its final spring break match this afternoon, 5-4, to Haverford College. In a tightly contested match in which the Brewers fought back from going down 2-1 in doubles competition, Vassar and Haverford battled in singles play with the Fords prevailing.
The Brewers, now 6-5 on the season, will remain idle until travelling to Saratoga Springs to face Amherst College on March 28.
"We faced a much-improved Haverford team today and the match was evenly contested," said head coach Ki Kroll. "We played a lot of tennis in Florida and we now have a base of competition to take our effort to the next level."
