Running in the 5000 meters at the ECAC Championships, Forbes finished 8th in a crowded field of 17 runners that was separated by less than two minutes from top to bottom. Forbes finished in 18:26.71, just one second off her personal best. Forbes broke out quickly and was on pace to break 18 minutes, but the heat and the sun caught up with Forbes, albeit only one second off a personal best. Her 8th place finished garnered Vassar a point in the team rankings, the second time the Brewers earned a point in this face following Johanna Spangler finishing 7th last year.
