Freshman Hayley Schultz had a great weekend of swimming for the Brewers, helping the Vassar women's team to its best finish ever at the Liberty League Championships, placing third as a team. Schultz was a huge part of that, as she helped to earn 173 total points at the meet, as VC notched 822 on the weekend. The freshman set a school record in the 100 breast stroke Saturday, swimming a lifetime best of 1:08.09 to take fourth. She later swam another lifetime best in the 200 breaststroke to take fourth with a time of 2:29.42. Friday evening, she was on the "A" 400 medley relay team, helping VC finish seventh in that race for 50 total points.Â
