Freshman Devan Gallagher had one of the best seasons ever for a Vassar College newcomer in 2015, as she was voted to the All-Liberty League Second Team, while also earning Liberty League Rookie of the Year honors. Gallagher became the second Vassar College women's volleyball player to earn Liberty League Rookie of the Year accolades, joining Hilary Koenigs who earned the award back in the fall of 2009.
The freshman Gallagher became the first Vassar College freshman to lead the team in kills since the 2009 season, when Chloe McGuire accomplished the feat for the Brewers. Gallagher posted 290 kills for the Brewers, averaging 3.09 terminations per set while leading the team in attacking percentage with a .234 clip. Gallagher chalked up 17 matches with double-figure kill contests, while also hitting over .200 in 17 contests as well. Gallagher was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week twice this season, tied for the most of any conference newcomer.
