Camden, NJ – The Vassar College Women's Varsity 8 boat had a strong showing on Friday on the first day of the Dad Vail Regatta. The Brewers finished second in Friday's time trial and went on to win their semifinal race to advance to Saturday's Grand Final.
 
Vassar's crew of Bridgette Nally (Chapel Hill, NC), Sitota Blomquist (River Forest, IL), Myra McNaughton (Springfield, VT), Rena Badami (Ojai, CA), Naomi Meyers (Hamilton, NY), Isabella Zumbolo (North Oaks, MN), Annalise Jones (Portland, OR), Emily Schatz (San Diego, CA) along with coxswain Taylor Frazier (Roanoke, VA) finished second only to Catholic in the time trials with a time of 6:41.259. The Brewers later won their semifinal heat by nearly 12 seconds with a time of 7:06.555.
 
The Brewers will be back on the water Saturday afternoon for the Grand Final which is scheduled to get underway at 12:20 p.m.
