Fall River, MA – The Vassar College Women's Rowing team had a strong showing on Saturday at the Northeast Collegiate Club Championships. Both Varsity 8 boats were victorious for the Brewers with the 1V4 boat finishing second and the 2V4 boat placing third.
Vassar's first Varsity 8 entry won its race by nearly three seconds over a boat from Army on Saturday. The boat of

Taylor Frazier (Roanoke, VA) completed the course in a time of 7:38.7.
The Brewers' second varsity 8 entry won its race by better than six seconds on Saturday. The crew of

The varsity four boat consisting of Nally, Blomquist, McNaughton and Badami was guided by coxswain
Frances Dunn (Saratoga Springs, NY) and crossed the finish line as the runner-up in a time of 8:40.5. Army's 'A' entry won the race in 8:31.7.
Vassar's second varsity four entry was made up of Meyers, Zumbolo, Sporte and Schatz along with coxswain Frazier. The unit completed the race in a time of 8:44.6.
Following a week off from competition, Vassar returns to the water May 8-9 in Camden, NJ at the Dad Vail Regatta.
