Three Brewers Qualify for Women's Track and Field NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Dennis, Schoenegge and Hanrahan will head to Wisconsin-La Crosse for the national championship meet

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced the participants in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships this evening as Vassar College Women's Track and Field senior Jahmilia Dennis, junior Haley Schoenegge and sophomore Amanda Hanrahan all earned a berth to the national championship meet.

For each individual event contested, including the decathlon and heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition. The championships will be held May 21-23 at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Schoenegge returns to the national championship meet as the two-time defending national champion in the 1500 meters and currently holds the top time in Division III this season at 4:16.13, which sits four seconds faster than the next student-athlete. The junior will also race in the 5000 meters for the third straight year and ranks second this season in Division III with a time of 16:15.60. Schoenegge closed the Liberty League Championship meet this season as the conference title holder in the 800 meters, 1500 meters and 5000 meters to earn the Track Performer of the Meet honors.

Dennis also returns to the outdoor championships for a second consecutive season in the triple jump as she collected back-to-back AARTFC crowns in the triple jump yesterday. Dennis broke her own school record with a leap of 12.18 meters to move up to sixth in Division III this season in the triple jump. Dennis has won six total Liberty League titles in the triple jump along with two runner-up finishes.

Hanrahan will make her first appearance in the national championship meet as the sophomore is coming off of the hammer throw Liberty League title after notching a school record mark of 53.30 meters. The 53.30 meters mark ranks 19th nationally this season in Division III and marks the first Vassar thrower to qualify for nationals.
