Kate Connelly (Owings Mills, MD) has been named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week in Women's Lacrosse it was announced Monday afternoon. The weekly award is the first of Connelly's career the second for the Brewers in 2026.
Connelly finished a 2-0 week for the Brewers with a goal, five caused turnovers and six groundballs in Liberty League victories over Bard and Clarkson.
On Wednesday at Bard, a 16-1 win for Vassar, Connelly potted a goal, forced five miscues and collected five groundballs. In the season finale against Clarkson on Saturday, a 17-13 win for the Brewers, Connelly secured a groundball in the win.
In 14 games played as a rookie in 2026, Connelly finished the season in a tie for fourth on the team with 13 caused turnovers and added 15 draw controls, 14 groundballs and seven points on the strength of five goals and a pair of assists.
Vassar concluded the 2026 season with a 7-8 overall record and a 2-8 mark against Liberty League rivals.
