Lexington, KY - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its All-Region selections on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Men's Volleyball junior

Henry Bonney were selected to the All-Region II team. Each of the four region teams includes 14 players, and a Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Coach of the Year were selected for each region. The 56 student-athletes who made All-Region represent 27 different schools.
Desai, who earns All-Region honors for the second straight season, put together a strong junior campaign as he led the team in blocks with 94, solo blocks with 29 and was third on the squad in kills with 181. This season, Desai has recorded new career-highs in kills (181), kills per set (2.32), solo blocks (29), total blocks (94), blocks per set (1.21), points (256.5) and points per set (3.29). Desai buried a new career-high in kills with 20 against NYU and also notched six matches with double-digit kills. He also recorded 10 matches with five or more total blocks, including a career-high 10 total blocks against Kean. Desai closes the season with 14 matches where he registered a solo blocks out of 22 matches played in 2026.
Desai's 29 solo blocks match the single-season program record of Matthew Knigge '18 and he finishes the regular season third in the country at 1.21 blocks per set. Desai ranks sixth all-time in Vassar history in solo blocks with 55 for his career and holds two of the top-five single season marks in solo blocks. Desai also finished the season hitting .405, which ranks 10th all-time in a single season, and now gives him two of the top-10 marks in school history. Through three seasons, Desai's hitting percentage of .383 sits fourth all-time in Vassar program history.
Bonney scores his first All-Region nod following a season that ranked him second on the team in kills with 204 and led the team in points per set at 4.02 and kills per set at 3.46. Bonney also ranks third on the team in blocks with 44 and was second in blocks per set at 0.75. In Bonney's 16 matches played this season, he recorded double-digit kills in 12 of those matches and hit .347 on the season. He tallied a career-high 21 kills, while hitting .488, against #1 Springfield and notched a career-high eight blocks, including three solo, in the home victory over #1 Springfield.
Vassar closed the season with a 17-10 overall record and 3-4 in UVC regular season matchups to earn the fifth seed in the final season in the United Volleyball Conference before falling to fourth-seeded Hobart in the First Round. The Brewers will move to the NEWMAC next season for the inaugural season of men's volleyball in the conference.
