Rochester, NY - Junior Haley Schoenegge defended her Mile title along with the distance medley relay squad defending its conference crown for the Vassar College Women's Track and Field team on the opening day of the Liberty League Championships.

Pentathlon

• Sophomore Elana Pukel tallied a seventh place finish with a career-high 2639 points in the pentathlon.
• Pukel's top finish was second overall in the shot put at 8.90 meters followed by a fourth place finish in the high jump at a career-best 1.43 meters.
• The sophomore added a seventh place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a career-best time of 9.90 along with a ninth place mark in the long jump at 4.61 meters.
• Pukel crossed the finish line in a career-best time of 2:51.34 in the 800 meters.

Pole Vault

• First year Sole Miller recorded a 12th place finish with a new career-best and indoor school record mark of 2.70 meters.

60 Meter Hurdles

• Senior Jahmilia Dennis qualified for tomorrow's finals with a time of 9.18 for a fifth place finish.
• Senior Freja Niklasson registered a 10th place finish with a new career-best time of 9.62.

Mile

• Schoenegge defended her Mile indoor title with a new facility record time of 4:55.92, outpacing the next finisher by almost four seconds.
• First year Malaika Dechet-Wetzel earned a podium finish with a fifth place mark with a time of 5:11.84.

Shot Put

• Sophomore Amanda Hanrahan finished in 11th place overall with a top toss of 10.83 meters.
• Senior Kolby Davis garnered a 14th place finish following a career-best throw of 10.66 meters.

Long Jump

• Dennis recorded a ninth place finish with a top leap of 5.20 meters along with D'Auria scoring a 11th place finish at a career-best 5.07 meters.
• Senior Jamie Eu turned in a 12th place finish with a jump of 5.00 meters.

60 Meters

• Sophomore Lainie D'Auria earned a spot in tomorrow's finals with a third place finish in a career-best time of 7.82 along with sophomore Lianna Camille in sixth position with a new personal-best time of 7.96.
• First year Ruthie Weiss placed 13th overall in 8.21 along with classmate Maddie Seguin in 17th with a time of 8.35.

400 Meters

• Camille earned a podium finish with a seventh place mark in a time of 1:01.01.
• Sophomore Skylar Spiro posted an 11th place finish in a career-best 1:01.91.

5000 Meters

• Senior Anika Mueller-Hickler reached the podium with a fourth place finish with a career-best time of 17:55.72.
• Sophomore Chloe Bibula scored a sixth place podium mark with a new PR of 18:02.78.
• First year Cate Feudtner posted a top-20 finish with a season-best time of 18:57.62 followed by sophomore Hadley Snell in 17th place in 19:07.92.
• Senior Nora Goldberg-Courtney recorded a top-20 finish with a mark of 19:17.49.

Distance Medley Relay

• The quartet of Dechet-Wetzel, first year Perri Koo, sophomore Elizabeth Lowe and Schoenegge defended the Brewers conference crown with a time of 12:27.02.
