Brewers Suffer Losses To William Smith, Haverford

Ordaya wins two matches

Haverford, PA – The Vassar College Women's Squash team continued the 2025-26 season on Saturday, dropping a 7-2 decision to William Smith and an 8-1 contest to Haverford. Senior Adriana Ordaya (Hartford, CT) won at match for the Brewers in each contest.

Saturday's results drop Vassar to 4-13 overall on the season.

Vassar 2 – William Smith 7

Ordaya was victorious against the Herons at the third position on Saturday, posting an 11-6, 11-3, 11-4 sweep.
Sophomore Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) scored a hard fought 11-6, 7-11, 5-11, 11-8, 11-5 win for the Brewers at six.
Hope Fireison (Alexandria, VA) went the distance at the second slot before dropping a tightly contested 4-11, 8-11, 13-11, 11-9, 9-11 decision.
Charlotte Tobin (Lakeville, CT) suffered a four-set defeat at the top flight, falling 11-9, 7-11, 10-12, 4-11.

Vassar 1 – Haverford 8

Ordaya won her second match of the day against the Fords scoring a 12-10, 6-11, 11-9, 11-8 victory at three.
Fireison went five for the second time on the day against Haverford, battling hard in an 11-6, 5-11, 11-9, 8-11, 12-14 decision.
Sarah Boucher-Rowe (London, UK) battled hard in a 11-8, 8-11, 0-11, 9-11 defeat.

What's Next

Next up for the Brewers is a trip to Connecticut College on February 8.
