Women’s Squash Drops Decisions To Haverford, Denison At Liberty League Championship

Fireison, Ordaya win matches against Haverford

Canton, NY – The Vassar College Women's Squash team opened the 2026 Liberty League Championship on Saturday, falling to Haverford 7-2 and Denison 9-0 in its first two matches of the event. Hope Fireison (Alexandria, VA) and Adriana Ordaya (Hartford, CT) scored the Brewers' wins in the opener.

Following Saturday's results, Vassar stands at 4-16 overall on the season.

Vassar 2 – Haverford 0

Fireison was victorious at the second position against the Fords. Fireison scored her eighth victory of the season with a 11-6, 7-11, 13-11, 11-6 win against Haverford's Zoe Liu.
At the third position, Ordaya took a hard fought 12-10, 12-10, 11-7 decision from Julia Carrasco, earning her team leading 11^th win of the season.
Sarah Boucher-Rowe (London, UK) battled hard in an 8-11, 8-11, 11-13 decision at the fourth position.
Lexi Donshik (West Simsbury, CT) suffered a hard fought 10-12, 8-11, 1-11 loss at the fifth spot.
Charlotte Tobin (Lakeview, CT) competed for Vassar is a tough 5-11, 7-11, 1-11 loss at the top flight.

Vassar 0 – Denison 9

Denison earned sweeps in all but one match against the Brewers.
Ordaya went four frames for Vassar at three, dropping an 11-8, 10-12, 0-11, 9-11 decision.

What's Next

Vassar rounds out the Championship on Sunday when it takes on Bard at 9:00 a.m.
