Three Brewers Earn All-Liberty League Accolades; Burgess Named Rookie Of The Year

Brewers finished with most wins in a season since 2015

Troy, NY – Four members of the Vassar College Women's Lacrosse team have been recognized by the Liberty League with postseason honors it was announced on Tuesday. Emilia DiLiberto (Allison Park, PA) and Tess Billings (Deerfield, IL) were both named Second Team All-League, while senior defender Emily Stoff (Lambertville, NJ) earned Third Team All-Conference recognition. Rounding out the quartet of honorees is First Year Elizabeth Burgess (Columbus, OH) who was tabbed the Liberty League Rookie of the Year.
 
Burgess burst onto the scene in 2025 for the Brewers, earning four conference Rookie of the Week citations, and becomes Vassar's first Rookie of the Year since Caeli Porette in 2019. Burgess finished the season third on the team with 27 goals and tied for third on the squad with 34 points. Burgess scored multiple goals in a game five times, including a season-high five tallies in a game on three occasions.
 
Burgess finished the season with at least one goal and one assist in a contest five times, including in the First Round of the Liberty League Championship when she totaled a goal and two helpers at #23 Ithaca.
 
DiLiberto, who was an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention selection in 2024, lands on the Second Team after a strong all-around season for the Brewers in 2025. DiLiberto finished the season second on the team in assists with 11 and in a tie for third on the squad with 34 points. DiLiberto paced the Brewers with 74 draw controls in 2025 and added a team-high 15 caused turnovers. DiLiberto rounded out a standout season tied for second on the team with 23 groundballs.
 
DiLiberto recorded at least one goal and one assist in seven games, including a season-high three assists against Fitchburg State on March 11 and a season-high four goals in an upset of then #19 Ithaca on April 18. DiLiberto won at least five draws in a game nine times, securing a season-high nine against Ithaca on April 18, and closed the year ranked eighth in the Liberty League in draw controls per game (4.63).
 
Billings joins DiLiberto on the Second Team after being named Honorable Mention a season ago. Billings scored a team and career-high 31 goals in 2025 and finished the season second on the team in points with 39. Billings also chipped in 19 draw controls, eight cause turnovers and seven groundballs for the Brewers.
 
Billings scored the game winning goal for Vassar against Hartford on February 28 and opened the season with five straight multiple goal games. Billings posted a season-high five points, scoring four times and assisting on another goal, against Oneonta on March 12 and closed the campaign with at least two goals in a game nine times.
 
Stoff earns All-Liberty League recognition for the first time in her career with Tuesday's Third Team selection. Stoff helped anchor the Brewers' defense in 2025, starting 15 games, and finishing tied for second on the team with 11 caused turnovers while collecting 12 groundballs and winning a pair of draw controls.
 
Stoff forced a season-high two turnovers in a game twice and collected a season-high three groundballs in a game on two occasions. Stoff scored her first career goals on March 12 against Oneonta.
 
Vassar closed the 2025 season at 10-6 overall, posting the most wins in a season since winning 10 times in 2015.
