Women’s Lacrosse Travels To #23 Ithaca For First Round Of Liberty League Championship

Brewers upset #19 Ithaca on April 18

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Lacrosse team begins its journey towards a Liberty League Championship on Tuesday with a visit to second seeded #23 Ithaca in the First Round of the Conference Championship. Opening Draw with the Bombers is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. with Live Stats and Video available for those unable to attend.

Scouting The Bombers
  • Ithaca earns the second seed in the championship by virtue of a 10-6 overall record and a 7-3 mark against league rivals.
  • Lily Cody leads the way for the Bombers with 60 points on the strength of 44 goals and 16 assists to go along with 71 draws, 23 groundballs and 12 caused turnovers.
  • Kelly Augeri has totaled 51 points on 38 goals and 13 helpers.
  • Leigh Naturale and Elizabeth Green have recorded 43 and 41 points, respectively with Green leading the team with 36 groundballs.
  • Kaitlyn Russell paces the defensive effort with 20 caused turnovers and has collected 30 groundballs.
  • Mikaela Dattilo has won each of Ithaca's 10 games in goal with 130 saves to go along with 23 groundballs. Dattilo is working to a .480 save percentage and a 10.41 goals against average.
  • Ithaca ranks fourth in the conference in goals per game (13.19) and fifth in points per game (18.75) heading into Tuesday.
