Lexington, KY - The American Coaches Volleyball Association (AVCA) announced its Division III All-American selections on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Men's Volleyball sophomore
Armaan Desai earned his first career All-American honor with a Honorable Mention selection. This marks the sixth straight season where the Brewers have earned an AVCA All-American selection.
Desai helped lead the Brewers to a 22-7 record this season and 4-3 in UVC action along with Vassar reaching the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season and sixth time in program history. Desai closes the season with a team-high 86 total blocks and finished with 20 solo blocks, which ranks tied for fourth in a single season in Vassar history. Desai also finished his sophomore campaign ranking third in aces with 22 and third in kills with 151.Â
Desai tied his career-high with kills with 13 in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament against #7 Cal Lutheran while recording a career-high 10 total blocks in the UVC Quarterfinals against Hobart. The sophomore finishes the season as a UVC Honorable Mention selection and an AVCA All-Region II honoree.
