Women's Track and Field Sets New Personal-Best Standards at Ramapo Invite

Reade wins 1500, four others tallied personal-best times

Mahwah, NJ - The Vassar College Women's Track and Field team continued the Ramapo Invite on Saturday as the Brewers impressed with sophomore Norah Reade winning the 1500 meters along with multiple others recording personal-best marks.

Hammer Throw
  • First year Meara Morgan recorded a top-20 finish with a throw of 28.17 meters along with first year Amanda Hanrahan also competing in the hammer throw.
Discus Throw
  • Senior Soleil Yuong finished eighth overall in the finals with a top mark of 30.32 meters.
  • Hanrahan finished 15th with a toss of 23.63 meters along with Morgan finishing 18th at 26.49 meters.
Long Jump
  • First year Lainie D'Auria scored a 13th place finish with a leap of 4.82 meters along with junior Jamie Eu finishing 18th at 4.72 meters.
  • Junior Sydney Passley-Harris earned a top-20 finish with a mark of 4.68 meters.
Triple Jump
  • Eu tallied a sixth place finish with a leap of 10.40 meters along with first year Lianna Camille scoring a ninth place finish at 9.96 meters.
High Jump 1500 Meters
  • Reade took the 1500 meters title as she crossed the finish line with a time of 4:46.18.
  • First year Lizzie Lowe finished second with a time of 4:49.18 along with classmate Sarah France finishing seventh in 4:56.04.
100 Meter Hurdles
  • Stevens finished sixth in the prelims to qualify for the finals with a personal-best time of 16.09. 
  • Junior Freja Niklasson tallied a seventh place finish to qualify for the finals in 16.26. Niklasson finished fifth in the finals with a mark of 16.61.
  • Pukel earned a 13th place finish with a time of 17.00.
100 Meters
  • D'Auria finished fifth in the prelims in 12.67 to qualify for the finals. The first year finished fifth in the finals with a time of 12.73.
  • First year Mason Wilkins-Lanier earned a top-20 finish in 13.79 along with senior Lily Falkowski scoring a top-25 finish in 13.98.
400 Meters 800 Meters
  • Niklasson scored a seventh place finish with a time of 1:13.55 followed by Camille in 10th in 1:15.09.
200 Meters
  • D'Auria finished 13th with a time of 27.39 while Wilkins-Lanier set a new personal-record with a time of 28.86.
  • Pukel secured a top-45 finish with a time of 30.14.
4x400 Relay
  • The 4x400 relay team raced to a fifth place finish with a mark of 4:14.68.
