Haley Schoenegge raced to the top time in the prelims of the Mile at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday afternoon to clinch a spot in tomorrow's final on the campus of Nazareth University.
Schoenegge, who holds the top seed time in the mile in 2024-25, was victorious in the second heat with a time of 4:53.82 to punch her ticket into tomorrow afternoon's final. The sophomore led from start to finish in the second heat and recorded a time that would top the facility record of 4:55.72, set by Ramapo's Dale Leonard in 2022.
Schoenegge will race in the Mile final at 4:15 p.m. tomorrow afternoon before competing in the 3000-meters final at 6:00 p.m.
