Women’s Squash Suffers Losses To William Smith, Haverford

Tobin wins against Herons

Haverford, PA – The Vassar College Women's Squash team wrapped up play in the regular season on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 6-1 decision to William Smith and a 9-0 decision to Haverford. First Year Charlotte Tobin (Lakeville, CT) won the Brewers' match against the Herons.
 
Saturday's sweep drops Vassar to 2-11 overall on the season.
 
For The Brewers – William Smith
  • Tobin continued a strong rookie campaign against the Herons with an 11-8, 11-3, 8-11, 11-4 triumph at the second slot.
  • Senior Sophia Choudhri dropped a hard fought 7-11, 9-11, 11-7, 4-11 decision at four for the Brewers.
  • First Year Lexi Donshik (Simsbury, CT) competed for Vassar at the fifth slot in an 11-8, 1-11, 6-11, 8-11 decision.
 
For The Brewers – Haverford
  • Tobin was back in action at the second position and fought in a 4-11, 6-11, 6-11 decision against the Fords.
  • Choudhri had another strong effort at four in a 4-11, 6-11, 7-11 defeat.

  • Vassar opens play at the Liberty League Championship on February 8.
