Brewers Travel To Non-Conference Foe Montclair State

Brewers earn first-place points in six events

Montclair, NJ – The Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team returned to the pool on Friday, competing in a 144-115 road loss at Montclair State. Sophomore Mike Seaton (Hoboken, NJ) and First Year Kieran Lakhan (Kensington, MD) each earned first place points in one event for Vassar in the meet.

Friday's defeat drops Vassar to 2-2 on the season, while Montclair State improves to 2-1.

For The Brewers

Seaton continued a strong start to the season with a victory in the 50-yard freestyle (22.13) ahead of a runner-up swim in the 100-yard freestyle (48.73).
Lakhan topped the field in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.81) and earned first-place points in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.72).
Jack Powers (Amherst, NY) continued a standout start to his rookie season with first-place points in the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.75).
Elam Estella (Colorado Springs, CO) collected first-place points for Vassar on Friday in the 100-yard butterfly (57.82).
John Gao (Ann Arbor, MI) swam to a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (56.09).
Eli House (Oneonta, NY) earned a runner-up finish for Vassar in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.50).
Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA) swam to a second-place finish on Friday in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.73).

What's Next

Vassar is back in action on November 8 when it travels to Skidmore.
