Women’s Squash Edged By Bard On Senior Day

Choudhri wins final home match

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Squash team suffered a tight 4-3 loss to visiting Bard on Saturday on Senior Day. Senior Sophia Choudhri (Waycross, GA) was victorious for the Brewers playing in the final home match of her career.

Saturday's defeat moves Vassar to 2-8 overall on the season.

Choudhri took the victory for Vassar playing at three, scoring a come-from-behind 14-16, 11-2, 11-9, 11-8 win.
Playing at one, Adriana Ordaya (Hartford, CT) swept Bard's Tarana Downer by scores of 11-2, 11-2, 11-4.
First Year Charlotte Tobin (Lakeville, CT) continued an impressive rookie campaign, stifling Bard's Nioby Rodriguez by scores of 11-1, 11-1, 11-1 at two.

What's Next

Vassar heads back out on the road January 25 to take on Hamilton and Colgate.
