VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - First year Haley Schoenegge earned a seventh place overall finish in the 1500 meters trials at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium on Thursday to qualify for the 1500 meters finals.

Schoenegge, the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Track Athlete of the Year, turned in a time of 4:33.02 to earn the top spot in the second heat and earn an automatic qualifying spot into Saturday's finals. The first year will also compete in the 5000 meters finals on Saturday evening.

Schoenegge will return to the track on Saturday, first for the 1500 meters at 4:25 p.m. followed by the 5000 meters at 7:00 p.m. Both events will be live streamed via NCAA.com along with live results at https://results.leonetiming.com/?mid=7114.
