LEXINGTON, KY - The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 20th annual Division III Men's Volleyball All-America Teams.on Tuesday morning as three Vassar College Men's Volleyball student-athletes were recognized. Senior Andrew Kim, junior Jacob Kim and senior Gavin van Beveren were all tabbed First Team All-Americans by the AVCA following their outstanding 2023 campaigns. The three All-Americans have led Vassar to a 26-1 overall record and were also undefeated in UVC play with a 6-0 mark and are in the midst of winning 25 straight matches.

A. Kim continues to rack up the postseason accolades as he has been named the UVC Player of the Year as well as the AVCA North Region Player of the Year in 2023. He enters the NCAA semifinals ranked in the top 10 for Division III in hitting percentage, kills per set, and points per set. He also has a team-best 35 aces and is hitting a blistering .411 on the season for Vassar. This is A. Kim's third All-American honoree as he was named First Team in 2021 and Second Team in 2022.

The setter has handed out 740 assists and is fourth nationally in assists per set at 10.28. He's also led the Brewers' offense to a Division III-best .362 team hitting percentage.

van Beveren's record-breaking season earns his third All-American selection as the senior middle blocker was tabbed First Team All-UVC along with being AVCA All-North Region. He is tied for second in blocks per set at 1.193 and has helped the Brewers lead the nation in that team category. His hitting percentage is best among all DIII players and likely will set a school single-season record with his current .530 hitting percentage. van Beveren was named an AVCA First Team All-American in 2020 followed by a Second Team All-American selection in 2022.

The Brewers earned their fourth trip in school history to the Final Four after defeating Baruch in the First Round following a 3-1 victory over #9 Southern Virginia in the Quarterfinals this weekend. Vassar currently is ranked as the #1 team in the nation by the AVCA/NVA Division III Coaches Poll and will travel to Owings Mills, MD to take on #5 North Central in the National Semifinals on Friday at 5:00 p.m. on the campus of Stevenson University.
