POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The #1 Vassar College Men's Volleyball team is set to host a regional site for the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship on Friday, April 21st and Saturday, April 22nd. The Brewers will take on Baruch College at 6:30 p.m. on Friday which will follow a matchup between Springfield and Southern Virginia at 4:00 p.m. The winners of the two matches will square off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday with the opportunity to advance to the Final Four in Owings Mills, Maryland from April 28-30.
Ticket information for this weekend will be $6 for adults, $4 for students with valid ID and seniors, $3 for children ages 2-12 and free for children under the age of 2. Vassar heads into the NCAA tournament with a 24-1 overall record and finished 6-0 in UVC play during the regular season. The Brewers went on to capture its second UVC Championship title in program history in a 3-0 victory over St. John Fisher on Sunday and have won 23 straight matches. Vassar is led by senior
Andrew Kim, who has been named the UVC Player of the Year as well as the AVCA North Region Player of the Year, along with classmate
Gavin van Beveren who has garnered First Team All-UVC honors as well as AVCA All-North Region accolades and is on pace to shatter the program record in attack percentage at .545.

Jacob Kim has put together an incredible year as the primary setter as he has been named Second Team All-UVC, AVCA All-North Region and was tabbed the UVC Tournament's Most Valuable Player. Freshman
Tristan Christofferson has made an instant impact for Vassar as he was named the UVC Co-Rookie of the Year and senior
Adam Gulick was named an UVC Honorable Mention. The Brewers are under the direction of head coach
Richard Gary who was tabbed the UVC Coach of the Year as well as the AVCA North Region Coach of the Year.
Baruch enters the NCAA tournament after posting a 18-10 overall record and a 12-2 record in CUNYAC play. The Bearcats clinched the CUNYACÂ title for the third straight season as they defeated top-seeded Hunter in four sets to punch their ticket to the NCAA tournament. Jack Centeno was named the Tournament MVP while Ryan Oommen and Defeng Han were tabbed as CUNYAC All-Tournament Team selections. Centeno and Han were also named First Team All-CUNYAC selections while Andrew Ubanwa was selected to the Second Team. The Bearcats are led by head coach Alexander Moule who earned a conference championship in his first season at the helm of Baruch.
Springfield returns to the NCAA tournament once again after completing a strong regular season with a 23-4 overall record. The Pride were selected as one of the two Pool B bids for independent programs and are led by two-time AVCA All-Northeast Region Player of the Year Jarrett Anderson. Dylan Mulvaney was tabbed as the AVCA All-Northeast Region Newcomer of the Year and head coach Charlie Sullivan was named the AVCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year for the third time in his career.
Southern Virginia was selected to the NCAA tournament with a Pool C bid after finishing the regular season at 17-3 overall and 7-1 in the CVC. The Knights advanced to the CVC Semifinals before falling in a thrilling five-set match against Rutgers-Newark and then earned an at-large bid. The Knights are led by Tyler Sheaffer who was named the CVC Setter of the Year and was also tabbed to the AVCA All-East Region team. Christian Sheaffer was named First Team All-CVCÂ as well as AVCA All-East Region along with Justin Madsen and Jeremy Brown who were tabbed Second Team All-CVC. Head coach Tom Peterson garnered the CVC Coach of the Year for the third time in his career at the helm of Southern Virginia.
