Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Squash team was in action at the Kenyon Courts on Saturday, suffering a 9-0 loss to Connecticut College before rallying for a 6-3 victory over Haverford on Senior Day. The four seniors on the roster,
Olivia Berkson (Providence, RI),
Sehar Dey-Kohli (Chicago, IL),
Anna Lee (Malvern, PA) and
Kelsey O'Connell (Chapel Hill, NC) were recognized for their contributions to the program on Senior Day.
Saturday's split moves Vassar's record on the season to 4-6 through 10 matches.
For The Brewers – Connecticut College
- Dey-Kohli was in action at four against the Camels and fought for the Brewers in a 2-11, 11-7, 7-11, 5-11 decision.
- Lee was at the top position for the Brewers and suffered a 3-0 defeat.
- Berkson at two and O'Connell at seven were also topped 3-0 against the Camels.
For The Brewers – Haverford
- The Brewers rallied in the second match of the day to score a 6-3 victory over the Fords, taking the decisions at one, two, four, five, six and nine.
- Lee was at one for Vassar, outlasting the opponent from Haverford in an 11-7, 8-11, 8-11, 11-8, 12-10 victory.
- Berkson picked up a victory at two for the Brewers, sweeping the opponent from the Fords by scores of 11-6, 11-6, 12-10.
- Dey-Kohli took the match at four in four, posting an 11-1, 9-11, 11-8, 16-14 victory.
- Sarah Boucher-Rowe (London, UK) battled in a 3-2 win, taking an 11-5, 11-3, 5-11, 4-11, 11-9 decision at five.
- Sophia Choudhri (Waycross, GA) was in action at six and scored a hard fought 6-11, 11-9, 11-4, 11-4 victory.
- Perla Leal Castellanos (Elmhurst, NY) took the decision at the ninth slot for Vassar, scoring an 11-1, 11-8, 11-9 triumph.
