Women’s Squash Topped By Hamilton

Knights travel to Bard Saturday afternoon

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Squash team was back in action for the first time since October 28 Friday evening, falling at home to Hamilton by a score of 7-0. The Brewers battled hard in the contest with Sophia Choudhri (Waycross, GA) taking a game for Vassar.
 
Friday's loss drops Vassar back to the .500 mark overall at 2-2.
 
For The Brewers
  • Playing at five, Choudhri battled back from a 0-1 deficit to even the contest at 1-1 with a 12-10 victory in the second frame before falling to Hamilton's Chiara Nadel 3-1.
  • Olivia Berkson (Providence, RI) dropped a hard fought 7-11, 6-11, 7-11 decision at two for the Brewers.
  • Adriana Ordaya (Hartford, CT) battled hard in a 4-11, 8-11, 4-11 decision for Vassar.
  • Anna Lee (Malvern, PA) played at the top position for Vassar on Friday in a 3-0 decision.
  • Kelsey O'Connell (Chapel Hill, NC) was in action for the first time this season at six and competed well in a 6-11, 4-11, 2-11 decision.
 
What's Next
  • Vassar is right back on the court Saturday when it takes on Northeastern (2:30 p.m.) and Wellesley (4:00 p.m.) as part of the Bard Round Robin.
