POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Vassar College women's squash team returned to their home courts on Saturday afternoon, hosting Brown University. The visiting Bears came away with a 9-0 victory in the match, as the #30 Brewers move to 3-4 on the season.
Action kicked off at the fifth spot on the ladder as Katherine Dowling posted an 11-8, 11-1, 11-1 win over junior captain
Olivia Berkson. The Bears then saw Danielle Benstock earn the victory at three, posting an 11-2, 11-2, 11-9 victory against Vassar's
Sehar Dey-Kohli.
From seven, Mina Bahadori earned an 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 win over Brewers sophomore
Sophia Choudhri, while from two, Lily Seckendorf recorded an 11-2, 11-4, 11-1 win against junior captain
Anna Lee. From nine, Anji Friedbauer earned the 11-3, 11-3, 11-4 win over VC rookie
Chloe Vaiman, while four saw Esha Lakhotia with an 11-2, 11-1, 11-4 win against rookie
Adriana Ordaya.
From the top of the ladder, Rachel Mashek recorded an 11-2, 11-0, 11-2 win against sophomore
Emma Adams, while the Bears closed out the match from eight as Zoya Unni had an 11-3, 11-5, 11-1 win over Vassar junior
Kelsey O'Connell.
The Brewers are right back in action on Sunday with a pair of matches at home. Vassar welcomes William Smith at 10am, followed by a 12pm match against Wesleyan – all at Kenyon Courts.
