WATERFORD, Conn. - The Vassar College women's cross country team took to the course on Saturday, competing at the 2022 Connecticut College Invitational at Harkness Park. The Brewers posted 15th overall in the field of 22 teams, which featured 302 total runners. Overall, MIT won the women's event as NYU rookie Vivian Kane was the race winner.
Pacing the Brewers was senior
Augusta Stockman, who finished 22nd overall in the 6k event with a time of 22:24.1. Sophomore
Noni Pattington took 66th overall with a time of 23:10.4, while junior Clara Wielser was 87th on the day with a time of 23:28.9.
Rookie
Anika Mueller-Hickler was next across with a time of 23:43.6 - good for 111th overall, while sophomore
Anna Kaigle was 131st with a mark of 23:58.9. Next across the finish line was sophomore
Sophia Henderson, earning 162nd overall with a time of 24:29.4.
Junior
Amaavi Miriyagalla was 208th overall with a time of 25:00.1, while rookie
Nora Goldberg-Courtney was 278th with a time of 26:45.5. Sophomore
Sophie Farr posted a time of 26:51.6 for 284th, while classmate
Arlo Lennert finished with a time of 27:16.4 - earning 289th overall.
Vassar returns to the course in two weeks when it hosts the 2022 Liberty League Championships at the Vassar Farm. The women's 6k event is set to begin at 12pm, followed by the men's 8k race at 1pm.
