POUGHKEEPSIE. N.Y. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 18th annual NVA/AVCA Men's Division III All-America Team today. Sophomore Andrew Kim (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) earning first-team honors and first-year Colin Jones (San Diego, CA) being selected to the second team. The Brewers now have had 11 All-Americans in program history.

Kim adds to his accolades after earning AVCA North Region Player of the Year, all-region first team, and All-UVC First team. He becomes the eighth Vassar player to be First Team All-American. Kim led the UVC in kills (160), service aces (40), and aces per set (0.87). His 40 aces also tie for first across Division III. Kim has recorded 11 or more kills in all nine matches this year and set a career-high of 24 kills against Nazareth on March 27. Kim had a .351 hitting percentage and was second on the team with 69 digs.

Following an all-region and All-UVC selection, Jones is a Second Team All-American. Jones was third on the team with 60 kills and was one of the UVC's most accurate hitters at .490 percent. Jones also had eight service aces and is a strong defender, too, with 26 total blocks. The middle blocker recorded a career day in the UVC Semifinals win over St. John Fisher, hitting .579 percent with 12 kills and four block assists.

Vassar continues its season on Wednesday, April 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the NCAA Tournament first round against Hiram College.
