GENEVA, NY - The Vassar College women's squash team took home third overall at the 2020 Liberty League Championships, which concluded on Sunday on the campus of Hobart and William Smith Colleges. In day two action, the Brewers shouldered a tough 9-0 loss to St. Lawrence University. Vassar moves to 6-14 overall on the season.

Claire Coss fell 3-0 (11-1, 11-8, 11-7) to Sanna Koviumaki from the top of the ladder. Two saw senior
Sydney Nemphos shoulder a tough 3-0 (11-8, 11-5, 11-3) loss to Makyla Kelley, while three was won by Katherine Leiva, who bested VC sophomore
Nicole Pihlstrom, 3-0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-7).
From four, Starnisha Ramsey posted a 3-0 (11-5, 11-3, 11-4) win against Brewers' senior
Samantha Henderson. Xitlali Zuniga was the victor at five, defeating VC junior
Amanda Watson, 3-1 (11-2, 11-13, 11-4, 11-4). Six was won by Gabrielle Ahrens, who posted a 3-0 (11-2, 11-5, 11-1) win against junior
Alexa Elias, while at seven, Alexandra Limas was a 3-0 (11-6, 11-2, 11-2) winner against freshman
Odie Berkson.
SLU'S Lindsay Whipple won at eight, besting sophomore
Lucie Bisbee, 3-0 (11-5, 11-4, 11-2), while at nine, Samantha Sambrook was a 3-1 (11-9, 11-4, 9-11, 11-5) winner against VC sophomore
Caitlin Lewis.
Vassar returns to the court on Saturday with a full day of action at Kenyon Hall Courts. The Brewers open the day at 9:30am against Denison, followed by an 11am tilt against Smith. VC closes out the day at 2:30pm with a match-up against Mount Holyoke.
