Vassar To Host Home Trimatch In Memory of Rob Wolter

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - On Saturday, February 15, Vassar College men's volleyball will host a trimatch in memory of former Head Men's Volleyball Coach Rob Wolter at Kenyon Hall in Poughkeepsie NY.  Vassar will welcome Stevens Tech and Elms College as participants in the tri-match.

Rob Wolter, former head men's volleyball coach at Vassar College, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

Wolter spent 5 years as the head coach here at Vassar, during which time he amassed a 91-65 record and led the team to a pair of 20-win seasons in 2013 and 2016 while also recruiting and coaching 2 of the programs most highly touted all-american student athletes.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, and part of a military family, Wolter attended high school in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from the University of Minnesota-Mankato in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in physical education. While there, Wolter was a decathlete on the track and field team and a member of the club volleyball squad. Wolter received his master's in education from Carthage College in 2010.

During the tri-match, proceeds raised from 50-50 raffles (tickets sold during the first 2 matches and announced between the 2nd and 3rd match) will go to the Wolter children scholarship fund.
