ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Vassar baseball team lost 12-2 in the first game and 12-7 in the second to fall to 7-15 in Liberty League play Saturday afternoon. The Brewers struggled in the opener, only connecting for four hits, while the Tigers had 11. Vassar picked up in the next game, put could not manage to close out RIT.

Game 1

After a scoreless first inning, RIT got on the board with four runs in the second. Vassar scored in the third and fourth behind a Matt Schwartz home run and then a Matt Martino run to cut the lead to 4-2. The Tigers went off in the fourth and fifth, totaling six runs, while holding Vassar to zero.

Game 2

The Brewers opened to an early 3-0 lead behind scores from Schwartz and Sam Brinster. Gunnar Wildercrantz then scored the third run off a wild pitch.
