2020: Strong start to his junior season, hitting .286 with five runs, four hits, three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base… Had one double against Scranton (2/23) with two runs and one RBI… Went 3-for-4 in the win over Rivier (2/29) with another double and three runs and two RBI.
2019: Made 19 appearances, starting 14 as a catcher… Recorded 15 hits, 10 runs, and eight RBI… Hit four doubles… Went 3-of-f-4 against Clarkson (3/30) with two doubles… Perfect on stealing bases this season, going 4-for-4… Had a .989 fielding percentage and only committed one error in the season.
2018: First-year backstop worked hard as a reserve in his first season as a Brewer...got into 10 games for VC, starting once...in his first collegiate start against Mount Saint Vincent doubled for his first Vassar hit...drove in a run against St. Lawrence University March 31...committed no errors in 17 chances behind the dish.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Played for the Buff 'n Blue of Punahou School...was a varsity letter winner for two seasons.
PERSONAL: Parents Kevin and Julie Shimoda...has two siblings, Kayla and Jessica... chose Vassar "because I knew it would provide me with a well rounded experience. I wanted to attend a college with high academic standards, and I wanted the challenge of juggling academics with collegiate athletics; Vassar College presented this opportunity to me with many perks like a beautiful campus, the friendly community of Poughkeepsie, and its location in the state of New York."
