CAMBRIDGE, MA (February 16, 2018) – The Vassar women's squash team dropped their opening game of the 2018 CSA Team Nationals to Mount Holyoke, 3-6, on Friday afternoon from the Murr Center at Harvard University.

The Brewers lost to the Lyons for the third time this season after previously matching up with Mount Holyoke back in November and again earlier this month in the Seven Sisters Tournament.

Three Vassar seniors were able to claim wins as Hannah Nice, Jiamin Wu, and Kelly Rissman all recorded a point for the Brewers. Rissman's win came in the eighth spot as she took down Nicole Lara Granados in three. She won with scores of 11-8, 11-2, 12-10. Next up, Wu put together a five game win in the third position over Emily Chang. Wu lost the first two before storming back with three straight wins to get the point for the Brewers. And in the top spot, Nice earned her third win over Brandy Williamson this season. The senior won the first game, dropped the second, 10-12, but bounced back to claim the next two and the overall win.

With the loss, the Brewers advance to the consolation side of the bracket and will face Georgetown University on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.
