POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (February 13, 2018) – The Brewers head to Cambridge, MA for their final tournament of the season. Vassar will compete in the CSA Team Championships Epps Division beginning on Friday, February 16
th against Mount Holyoke at 3:30 p.m. The Brewers will also compete on Saturday and Sunday, playing one game each day.

Last Time Out: The Vassar women's squash team dropped an 8-1 decision on Saturday afternoon at Hamilton College.
Hannah Nice in the top spot was the only Brewer to earn a victory. She claimed 11-4, 13-11, 11-9 scores to earn a point for Vassar. In the other eight spots, Hamilton swept Vassar 3-0 in each game.
Sydney Nemphos played as the No. 2 falling 11-3, 11-7, 11-8. Next in line was
Jiamin Wu who lost 11-9, 11-7, 11-4. And at the fourth,
Alessandra Pilkington was on the wrong end of 11-5, 11-4, 11-2.
A Look at the Brewers (13-7):
- Emma Glickman has the best record on the team at 14-6, while both Hannah Nice (13-3) and Kelly Rissman (13-7) each have 13 wins.
- Nice is 8-2 in her last 10 matches, and has won five in a row.
- The Brewers as a team are 4-1 this season when playing away from Kenyon Hall.
- The No.1 and No. 9 spots have been a strength for Vassar this season, at the top they have won 16 of 20, while winning 15 of 20 on the back end.
- Vassar has faced four of their possible opponents in the Epps Division this season, going 1-5, with a win over Haverford.
- The Brewers last faced Bowdoin in December of 2011, losing 0-9 and last met Georgetown in January of 2016, winning 9-0.
- Vassar and Cal have never met on the squash courts.
- The Brewers were 1-2 at last year's CSA Championships, topping Bucknell and losing to Mount Holyoke and Conn. College.
A Look at the Lyons (7-12):
- Mount Holyoke already has two wins over the Brewers this season, winning 8-1 on November 4 and 7-2 on February 3.
- The Lyons are ranked one spot above Vassar in the CSA Rankings at No. 28.
- Mount Holyoke won the Seven Sisters Championships after topping Wellesley and Vassar on February 3.
- Ragini Ghose leads the Lyons with a 12-7 record this season, mainly playing as the No. 2.
A Look at the Other Competitors:
- The Bowdoin Polar Bears are ranked 25th in the CSA Rankings and have a 6-11 overall record.
- Lindsey Bindra is Bowdoin's No. 1 player and went 1-2 at the NESCAC Championships.
- William Smith sits at No. 26 with a 10-7 overall record.
- The Herons have won three in a row over Rochester, Mount Holyoke, and Colgate.
- Connecticut College sits at 27th in the CSA Rankings and posts an 8-11 overall record.
- Their last time out, the Camels topped Wellesley, 7-0 on February 10th.
- Haverford is ranked 30th in the CSA Rankings and has recorded a 7-8 mark this season.
- The team has won three in a row over Georgetown, Boston College, and Bucknell.
- California Berkeley is 31st in the CSA Rankings, coming into the weekend with a 5-3 record.
- The Bears have lost three in a row against Virginia and Stanford.
- Georgetown is the lowest ranked team of the group at No. 32 with a 4-5 mark this season.
