POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.  – Six upperclassmen highlight the Vassar College men's squash team when the squad opens play this weekend at Kenyon Hall. The Brewers host Fordham and Lehigh on Saturday at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and then play Bryant and Boston University on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Vassar went 8-16 a season ago, but return two captains in senior
Isaac Stuart (Swampscott, MA) and junior
Viraj Nadkarni (Mumbai, India), who returns in January after studying abroad. Nadkarni played primarily at the No. 1 position and went 8-16 last season. At the No. 5 spot, Stuart recorded seven wins.

Of the returners, senior
Caden Gruber (Costa Mesa, CA) posted the most wins for Vassar with nine. Gruber primarily played at the third position, but also competed at the second and fourth. Back are seniors
Drew Hardin (Darien, CT) and
Travers Parsons-Grayson (Newport, VA), and joining them is the sole sophomore in
Milind Joshi (Pune, India).Â

Five newcomers add to the mix with senior
Eric Chen (Poughkeepsie, NY) and freshmen
Reese Collins (Bedford, NH),
William Condon (Auburndale, MA),
Henry Mitchell (Yardley, PA) and
Alexander Wisneski (Mechanicsburg, PA).

Following the four weekend matches, the Brewers travel to Annandale-on-Hudson for the Bard Round Robin on Nov. 10 and 11.
