Last Time Out: The Brewers split the weekend with an incredible 10-9 comeback win over Union College on Friday and a 14-4 loss to William Smith College on Saturday. Freshmen

Tessa Waters were both stellar, putting up six points apiece over the two games.
A Look at the Brewers (4-4):
- The Brewers are still searching for their first true road win of the season, having fallen to Drew University in their season-opener.
- Through eight games, Vassar has outshot opponents 219-210 overall and 173-164 in shots-on-goal.
- Of the Brewers' 90 total goals, 32 have been assisted. They have also connected on 19 of 51 free-position attempts.
- The Brewer defense has seemingly picked up in the second half, as 51 of opponents' goals have been scored before the break and the other 39 have been scored after. Meanwhile, the Brewers have netted 41 and 49 goals, respectively.
- Vassar is winning the draw control battle, 108-80, but losing the ground ball battle, 163-151.
- Waters paces the team with 25 points on 19 goals and six assists. Storm Sideleau (15g, 3a), Pushie (14g, 2a), Julia Trudell (10g, 3a) and Fiona MacLeod (8g, 4a) have also been productive on that side of the ball.
- Waters has been productive all over the field, leading the squad with 14 ground balls and 24 draw controls. She has also registered six created turnovers to boot.
- Sara Mathes (9gb, 11cto) and MacLeod (9gb, 10cto) have been sturdy on defense.
- Kristin Caolo and Emily Chancey have split time in the cage. Caolo (2-3) has made 25 stops for a 41.0 save percentage, while Chancey (2-1), has fended away 49 shots for a 47.6 percentage. Chancey has started and played through the past two games, making a season-best 12 stops against William Smith on Saturday.
- The Brewers look to improve upon their 2016 campaign, in which they finished 6-9 overall and 2-7 in Liberty League play.
- This season, the Brewers are captained by Brittany Botticelli and Trudell.
A Look at the Yellowjackets (5-2):
- The Yellowjackets are 5-2, with their lone losses coming against Nazareth College and Skidmore College.
- Rochester most recently held off Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Sunday. The Engineers scored back-to-back goals within the waning minutes of the game to pull as close as 7-6, but the Yellowjackets found the back of the net with about a minute to go to seal the deal.
- Through seven games, UR is outshooting opponents 172-122 overall and 132-81 in shots-on-goal.
- Of the Yellowjackets' 75 goals, 25 have been assisted. They have converted on 11 of 40 free-position shots.
- UR is winning the draw control battle, 72-51, and the ground ball battle, 120-95.
- Jamie Wallisch leads the team with 27 points on 19 goals and eight assists. Madeline Levy (13g, 2a), Jamison Seabury (10g, 1a) and Mara Karpo (5g, 5a) have also been productive on offense.
- Wallisch has done it all for the Yellowjackets, also leading the team with 14 ground balls, 13 created turnovers and 21 draw controls.
- Conley Ernst, Deirdre Kelly and Katherine Bushway have all spent time in net. Ernst (5-2) has made 42 saves over 369 minutes, Kelly has made two stops over 32 minutes and Bushway has fended away one shot over 19 minutes.
- The Yellowjackets have already improved upon last season, wherein they finished 4-12 overall and 1-8 in conference play.
Against Rochester All-Time: The Brewers are 7-10 against the Yellowjackets all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 1992. Vassar took the most recent meeting by a 12-8 decision.
A Look at the Tigers (5-4):
- The Tigers are 5-4 on the season with wins over Lycoming College, The College of Wooster, Ohio Wesleyan University, Oswego State and Nazareth College. Their losses have come against The College At Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, RPI and most recently Skidmore.
- In Sunday's 18-14 loss to the Thoroughbreds, RIT used a 3-1 run to pull as close as 16-14 with about seven minutes remaining before Skidmore netted the final two.
- Through nine games, the Tigers have been outshot by opponents 212-225. Both sides have put up 165 shots-on-goal apiece.
- Of the Tigers' 113 total goals, 34 have been assisted. They have connected on 39 of 74 free-position shots for a 52.7 percentage.
- RIT has won the draw control battle, 110-108, but has lost the ground ball battle, 156-144.
- Emily Livecchi has been dominant for the Tigers, leading the squad with 37 points on 21 goals and 16 assists. She's also grabbed 12 ground balls, forced four turnovers and won nine draw controls.
- Sydney DaCosta (22g, 8a), Sammy Ward (22g, 2a), Alanna Fallone (16g, 1a), Meagan Schmauder (14g, 3a) and Nicole Bingo (11g, 2a) have also reached double figures in the points column.
- Fallone leads the team with 18 ground balls, Bingo leads with nine created turnovers and Ward leads with 25 draw controls.
- Rebekah Snitoff and Elizabeth Hughes have both spent time in net. Snitkoff (5-2) has fended away 56 shots for a 47.1 save percentage, while Hughes (0-2) has made 23 stops for a 50.0 save percentage.
- The Tigers look to improve upon last season, in which they finished 8-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
- This year, the Tigers are captained by Bingo, Julia Spier, Schmauder and DaCosta.
Against RIT All-Time: The Brewers are 4-3 against the Tigers all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 2004. Vassar saw a three-game winning streak against RIT snap last season by a 13-11 decision.
