CAMBRIDGE, MA (February 18, 2017) — Freshman Viraj Nadkarni chalked up a hard-fought win, as the Vassar College men's squash team (5-14) lost to Boston University on Day 2 of the CSA Championships on Saturday, 8-1.

Nadkarni took down Parker Tonissi at two in five hard-fought sets, 11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 5-11, 11-8. With that, the freshman picked up his seventh win of the season, the second-most victories of anyone on the team.

Vincent Mencotti also battled at the top of the lineup. The senior won the first set, 11-8, before falling in the final three, 11-8, 11-7, 11-9, to Marwan Sallam at the one.

All other Brewers fell in three sets except for Ankit Khosla, who lost by retirement at the three.

VC last faced BU on Senior Day, falling by a 7-2 decision. Caden Gruber and Isaac Stuart picked up the Brewers' lone wins. Similar to Saturday's match, it was a battle at the top of the lineup, with Mencotti and Nadkarni falling in five and four hard-fought sets, respectively.
