2016-17: Played in nineteen matches for the Brewers, going 12-7...played every match at the one position…picked up important wins against ranked teams #30 Haverford College (1/21/17) and #44 Bard College (2/4/17)…earned a spot on the Liberty League Honor Roll the week of February 20
th after picking up a win against Lehigh University at CSA championships.
2015-16: Played in 17 matches for the Brewers, playing at the No. 1 position...went 6-11, leading the team in wins...started the season by knocking off Rhys Nordstrom of Bard College, winning in 4 sets, Mencotti went on to defeat Nordstrom again later in the season, again winning in four sets...knocked off Fazen Rahim of #56 Siena College, winning in three sets...ended his season with three consecutive victories against Zohair Kahn, Michael Desantis, and Michael Ding of Penn State, Notre Dame, and Davidson College respectively, winning all matches in three sets.
2014-15: Returned from a injury as a freshman to have a very successful season as a sophomore...posted a team-best 12 wins for the Brewers...went 10-5 at No. 1 this year...won seven consecutive matches during the middle...defeated Nathan Vestrich-Shade of Haverford College twice throughout the season...helped the Brewers to a H Division title in the CSA Championships, going 3-0...in the H Division title match against Bard, outlasted John Levering in five sets, coming back from being two sets down to earn the win...was ranked in the top 80 by the CSA...defeated Hobart's top player, Felipe Pantle, in straight sets...upped his career-mark to 17-8 after his sophomore campaign.
2013-14: Mencotti went undefeated in his first season with the Brewers before injuring himself...ended his season early with a perfect 5-0 record at No. 1...fought hard in his last match, dominating Fordham University's Kincade Webster in straight sets.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Held a junior rating of 60 in the US Squash in age group ... attended Brother Rich High School.
PERSONAL: Majoring in economics...chose Vassar College over Amherst College, Wesleyan College and Bowdoin College.
