Last Time Out
Vassar traveled to Potsdam, NY this Saturday to face Clarkson University as part of a long stretch of conference games to close out the season. They hung with the high powered offense of the Golden Knights for most of the game, but a 4-0 run in the last two minutes of the first half gave Clarkson a 9-4 cushion heading into the break. Two late Isabelle Goldstein goals brought the Brewers closer, but the comeback fell short as the Brewers fell 13-9. Ashley Flick scored four goals for Clarkson, and Christine Wright added to her league-leading assist total with three assists to push her season total to 40. For the Brewers, Storm Sideleau scored three times, collected three groundballs and forced two turnovers. Goldstein and Kim Mulvehill added two goals each.

A Look at the RIT Tigers (4-8, 1-4 Liberty League)
The Tigers are currently just behind Vassar in the Liberty League standings with an identical conference record of 1-4, so the upcoming matchup looms large for both teams. After a strong 3-4 start in non-conference games, they have suffered a number of tightly contested losses to Liberty League opponents. Three of their four in-conference losses have been by a two-goal margin and they have already faced the conference's top four teams.

Senior Sage Sarkis is having a monster year, leading the Liberty League in goals with 46 to her name. She has been remarkably consistent, scoring at least three times in her last nine games. Corrina Mandell has been excellent in a different capacity, leading the league in draw controls with a staggering 60 in twelve games.

Against RIT All-Time
Vassar and RIT have only met six times over the last twelve years with the teams splitting the matchups 3-3. In their only meeting last year, the Brewers stole one 9-8 on a buzzer-beater by then-freshman Sideleau.

A Look at the Rochester Yellowjackets (3-9 overall, 0-5 Liberty League)
After finishing third in the Liberty League preseason poll, the Yellowjackets looked strong out of the gate, winning three of their first five against quality non-conference opponents. Since then, they have dropped seven straight and are searching for answers.  Like RIT, they have already faced the top four teams in the conference, but unlike the Tigers, they have had trouble staying in games as of late. They have lost their last seven by an average score of almost six, and they have only scored more than six goals twice over that time period.

Amid their setbacks, Jamie Wallisch and Madeline Levy have scored 27 and 26 goals, respectively, and both sit in the top ten in the Liberty League for the category. Wallisch is also a key contributor on defense, coming into the weekend in the top ten in ground balls (28) and caused turnovers (19) as well. Rochester looks to ride their two offensive stars to a turnaround as the season draws to a close.

Against Rochester All-Time
The Brewers are 6-9 against Rochester all-time, dating back to 1992, but they have had been successful in their recent matchups taking six of the last eight. Sideleau had a buzzer-beater to end the game in last year's matchup with Rochester as well, but this one came in a 10-6 loss. Wallisch will look to continue her success against Vassar, as she scored three goals in last year's win.

Liberty League Standings
The Brewers come into the weekend at seventh in the Liberty League standings with a 5-6 overall and 1-4 conference mark. RIT and Rochester come in at eighth and tenth, respectively. Full Liberty League standings can be found here.

Making Them Count
Vassar ranks second in the liberty league in shot percentage, scoring on 47 percent of their shot attempts.  Storm Sideleau and Julia Trudell are both shooting above 57 percent.

Taking the League by Storm
Storm Sideleau posted five points in Vassar's 0-2 week, netting two against St. Lawrence on Friday before potting three against Clarkson the next day. The sophomore paces the Brewers with 30 goals on the season, good for sixth most in the Liberty League.

Gold Standard
Isabelle Goldstein has been a cornerstone for the Brewers all season. The senior posted six points, three ground balls and four draw controls this week. Her versatility has helped the Brewers throughout the season, and she leads the team in points (43), ground balls (20) and created turnovers (16).  Her next point will bring her into a tie for third in Brewer history for career points.

Scoring Machine
The Brewers rank second in the Liberty league in both goals (11.82) and assists (5.91) and have four 20-goal scorers through eleven games (Storm Sideleau, Isabelle Goldstein, Julia Trudell, Kim Mulvehill).

When It Counts
Brittany Botticelli has come into her own on the Brewers defense in conference play, as she has set career game-highs in ground balls (five versus St. Lawrence) and caused turnovers (four versus RPI). She has grabbed 11 ground balls and forced seven turnovers in five conference games so far.

Luck of the Draw
Olivia O'Loughlin ranks in the top ten in draw controls this season with 24, showing great improvement from last season's total of two. She went wild versus Mount Saint Mary, grabbing a career-high seven.

On Cloud Nine
After recently securing a starting role, freshman Fiona MacLeod picked up five more ground balls this week, bringing her season total to 18. She is second on the team in that category to Isabelle Goldstein's 20.

Next Up
The Brewers will finish their regular season the following weekend with matchups against Union College on Friday, April 29 at 4 p.m. and William Smith Colleege on Saturday, April 30 at 2 p.m.
