What To Look For
Vassar women's squash started off this semester with strong wins over Boston University and Georgetown University, raising their overall record to 5-3. The Brewers will need to make good use of the momentum from their two-game winning streak, as they are up against some formidable competition this weekend. In last year's matchup against the Seven Sisters Schools, Vassar won 6-3 over Smith, but fell to Wellesley with a score of 0-9 and to Mount Holyoke 1-8. However, the Brewers have experience on their side this year, as a majority of the team has competed against these schools before.

A Look At The Brewers
-The Brewers had an outstanding performance in last weekend's competition against Boston University and Georgetown. Vassar shut-out their opponents in both matches, finishing the day with a total of 18 wins and no losses.
- In the no. 1 position, sophomore Hannah Nice comes into this weekend with an impressive individual record of  7-1. Nice had a strong showing in last year's Seven Sisters Tournament, defeating the No. 1 positions for both Smith College (Jacqueline Zhou) and Mount Holyoke College (Brandy Williamson).
- Freshman Fiona Agger has also had a significant impact on the Brewer's overall record this season.  Playing in the No. 2 position for the entire season, Agger has an individual record of 5-3 and has won a majority of her matches by at least a four point. margin.
- The two Vassar women's squash seniors, Parisa Hilaji and Steph Zu, will also be making an appearance in this tournament. Zhu, who played in the No. 8 position last weekend won her match against BU's Shelby Banon. Hilaji , who usually plays in the No. 10 position also has experience playing against these three teams.
- Another face to watch out for this weekend is sophomore Cherlyanne Mucciolo. Usually playing the no. 5 position, Mucciolo has an individual record of 5-3— winning all her past matches by at least a three-point margin.

A Look At The Seven Sisters Team
-  As the defending Seven Sisters Tournament Champion, Wellesley College proves to be tough competition this weekend. The Blues come into this weekend with a five-match winning streak and an overall record of 9-4.
- Playing in Wellesley's No. 1 position, Sarah Zhang has an individual record of 9-4. At last year's tournament, Zhang proved a strong opponent for Nice, stretching out the match to five sets, but ultimately winning the last set 11-8.
- Currently holding a 4-13 record, Mount Holyoke College has struggled to gain momentum this season. However, the team should definitely not be underestimated as they bested the Brewers last year with a score of 8-1.
- Mount Holyoke's no. 1 position Brandy Williams enters this tournament with a 7-8 record, and will be looking to redeem her loss to Nice in last year's tournament.
- Smith College, previously a varsity team, but now a club team, has been defeated by the Brewers the last two times they went up against Vassar.

Up Next
After this weekend, Vassar women's squash will spend the rest of their season on the road. On Saturday, February 13, the Brewers will head to Medford, Massachusetts and take on Tufts University and Northeastern University.
