What To Look For
The Brewers played in the E Division "Howe" Cup last year, and finished 1-1 before their final match against Washington University of St. Louis was postponed due to snow. Before the cancellation, Vassar earned a win over the University of Rochester in the opening round, but fell 7-2 to Northwestern in the second match of the weekend. This year's challenge will be tougher, as VC has moved up to the Epps Cup, and will face all but one team ranked above it in the latest CSA Rankings. The first match of the weekend comes against Wesleyan, who Vassar fell to last weekend 9-0.

A Look At The Brewers (6-7)
- Vassar College comes into the weekend looking to snap a four-match skid, having not won since February 6 at the Seven Sisters Championships.
- Last weekend, VC fell at Wesleyan College and Tufts University, dropping a 7-2 decision to the Jumbos.
- Sophomore No. 1 Hannah Nice has had a strong season, going 10-3 on the year. That included a six-match winning streak that spanned from November 14 to February 6.
- Freshman No. 2 Fiona Agger has posted wins in five of the last seven matches she's played, and four of her five losses this year have been in four or more games.
- Junior Isabelle Bertram won her first three matches after her return from JYA, but will be looking to snap a four-match losing streak this weekend.
- Sophomore Kelly Rissman lost three of her first four collegiate matches, but responded with three victories in her last five outings.
- Coming into the weekend, Vassar has a winning percentage above .500 in three positions this year, No. 1, No. 2 and No. 9.
- VC will be looking to get to above .500 in singles matches this season, coming into the CSA Championships with a 57-60 overall mark (.487).
- Julia Pollak fell in her last match at Wesleyan at No. 10, but did take the third set in that match.

A Look At The Epps Cup Division
- The Brewers will be a division with six teams they've played this season, going 1-5 in those matches.
- Vassar is matched up with Wesleyan Friday night at 5 p.m. at Yale, and will play at Yale Saturday regardless of a win or loss Friday evening.
- Depending on their result Friday, Vassar will take on either William Smith College or Boston College on Saturday. On the upper half of the bracket, Dickinson College, Haverford College, Mount Holyoke College and Connecticut College round out the eight-team round.
- Dickinson is the highest rated team coming into the event at No. 25, while Haverford is the lowest at No. 32.
- Last year, Tufts University earned the Epps Cup Championship, while Vassar has earned this division once back in 2000. William Smith College has taken the title twice since 2009.
- The Epps Cup is named for Patricia Epps. Epps began coaching women's squash at Franklin & Marshall in 1978, and over the next 23 years she led the Diplomats to more than 200 wins.

Up Next
Vassar's season as a team will be done after this week, but the Brewers will have Hannah Nice competing in the CSA Individual Championships in March.
